What does this indicator measure?
This measure represents the percent of adults 20 years and older who answered "no" to the following question: "During the past month, other than your regular job, did you participate in any physical activities or exercises such as running, calisthenics, golf, gardening, or walking for exercise?"
Why is this indicator important?
Physical activity, including both aerobic and strength-training activities, is part of a healthy lifestyle and plays a vital role in achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. Regular physical activity reduces the risk of chronic disease and helps to improve overall health.
