What does this indicator measure?

This measure represents the average number of days adult repondents reported their physical health was "not good" when asked: “Thinking about your physical health, which includes physical illness and injury, for how many days during the past 30 days was your physical health not good?” (NOTE: County and comparable state-level estimates have been age-adjusted).

Why is this indicator important?

People not only care about the length of their life, but also the quality of those years. This measure helps describe the recent physical health of the community.
