The measure represents the percent of high school students who reported consuming fruits 2 or more times per day and vegetables 3 or more times per day.

Why is this indicator important?

A healthy diet can reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and some cancers.
