What does this indicator measure?

This measure represents the percent of children age 19-35 months who were complete for the immunization series 4:3:1:3:3:1:4 (4 DTaP, 3 Polio, 1 MMR, 3 HepB, 3 Hib, 1 Varicella, and 4 PCV) among those with active records in the state immunization registry, CHIRP.

Why is this indicator important?

Infants are particularly vulnerable to infectious diseases; that is why it is critical to protect them through immunization. Immunizations help prevent the spread of disease and protect infants and toddlers against dangerous complications.
